In order to meet future needs and to avoid such problems as traffic jams, additional traffic generated by the search for parking spaces, as well as noise and air pollution, many large cities today promote the use of underground and rapid transit systems. On account of the generally limited space available, such systems frequently require sophisticated engineering structures (tunnels, bridges, etc.). Not least due to the complex permit application procedures and the many different disciplines, the demands on interdisciplinary project management are very high. In order to be able perform the engineering services required for the realisation of such projects in a professional manner, our Group draws upon its pool of qualified employees who have many years of experience in construction projects at home and abroad. Thus YASCE and the ILF Group are able to provide all engineering services needed for civil works, electromechanical equipment and rail systems.

Poland (together with the Ukraine) was awarded the hosting of the European Football Championship (UEFA) in 2012. One of the host cities will be Warsaw with its “National Stadium” which will be extended to approx. 70,000 seats now under construction.
Originally due to this reason, it was considered to be a requirement to ensure a modern and vital mass transport system for Warsaw which would be in operation at the beginning of the European Football Championship 2012. The contract value amounts to 750 million €. The middle section of the Metro Line 2 in Warsaw from the station Rondo Daszynskiego to the station Dworczec Wilenski with a length of approx 6.5 km was constructed by use of Tunnel Boring Machines (TBM). The whole section is below ground and underpasses the river Vistula connecting the Warsaw City centre with the Praga district. The connection to the existing Metro Line 1 was also constructed by TBM.
